King’s Watch is a smaller camp held at the Burlington castle with up to 35 participants. Like our outdoor location, the facility provides lighting effects and sound system, props and costumes, and intricate stories with STEM education. However, the King’s Watch is an indoor environment with air conditioning and fewer environmental variables. It’s a good option for younger campers who may need a shorter, more regulated day and for older campers who want to play supporting characters in the story as an NPC (non-player character).

In this combined space, we have both medieval fantasy setting for Wizards & Warriors and a futuristic time-travel setting for Zombie summer camp. Depending on the enrollment, the two camps may work together, each with their own specialties and weapon types, to solve the mystery. Or, the space can be divided and the two camps can navigate different story lines that may converge at points for a big battle.

King’s Watch heroes adhere to the same values of Courage, Honor, and Compassion, and the staff strive to create the an environment that is safe, fun, and educational.

At this camp, heroes learn:

Tactical training

Your hero will learn how to use their foam swords and special skills while incorporating team tactics so that their group can withstand the hordes of monsters that plague the land.

STEM learning

Campers work together in their ongoing quest to “power up” by learning STEM. Once they prove their knowledge by teaching it to their friends, they gain skills and special powers for the battle.

Scientific method

Campers learn how to formulate hypotheses and conduct experiments to test their ideas. They use their research and findings to solve the mystery of what happened.

Discovering cultures

Each summer, the story is based on a different world culture’s myths and legends. Heroes learn about monsters and characters from around the real world and throughout history.
